| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: Information from artisanal landings in the Peruvian coast between 1950-2018 was analyzed by applying two stock assessment methods (CMSY and JABBA) to determine some aspects of the biology, fishery, and population status of the Peruvian rock seabass Paralabrax humeralis. Its largest landings were recorded in northern Peru (87% of the total landings) with handline (37%). The gonadosomatic index (GSI) showed higher intensity of reproductive activity in spring-summer seasons. The size at first maturity (Lm50) was 25.05 cm TL. The simulations carried out with the CMSY and JABBA methods showed that the Peruvian rock seabass would be fully exploited, but with some signs of overexploitation. | - |
