| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: The swep area method was applied to evaluate the Peruvian hake stock. It was carried out through the Peruvian hake and other demersal evaluation survey during the autumn of 2014 (Cr1405-06 BIC Humboldt). The marine area evaluated was situated between the northern border of the Peruvian Maritime Domain and Huarmey (10°00S) that comprise about 14 482.91 mn2. The Peruvian hake biomass estimated was 400,114 ± 26% tonnes (2,206 million individuals). The higher amount of individual catches belonged to 2-age group (89%), which predominated in all fishing hauls. This group it mainly observed in hauls realized in the South of 7°S, where the highest percentage of hake biomass was found. The presence of the ESCC and the conditions of bentodemersal subsystem (characterized for high levels of oxygen) are factor that determine the availability of Peruvian hake. In this study, it manifested in the increase of its level. | - |
